I just uncovered the Rebbie Jackson CD - Yours Faithfully (MJJ/Work 66992) from 1998. This CD and the title promo 12" include "Centipede" (5:55). There's no indication whether this is the original 1984 recording or a rerecording. I don't think I've ever heard the original, so can anyone confirm?

I have to dig for my original Columbia 45, but I have a CD called Forever Pop Volume 3 right here beside me with the song and a listed time of 4:26. I also happen to have her original Columbia LP near me that has the song at the basic same length, running at 4:23. the single runs the same length.
The song features her (in)famous brother on additional vocals. The single was issued in late 1993.

I have obtained the 12" single version of Cenitpede and it is the same version that appears on the "Yours Faithfully" cd. The actual running time of the 12" single is (5:45) not (5:58) as stated on the record label.

my commercial 45 issued as columbia 04547 states the run
time on the label as 4:13 but actually runs 4:24....of
note
is that the version on the cd below
(S) (4:24) &nb sp; Sony Music Special Products
26458 Forever
Pop Vol. 3
has the channels reversed....the 45 has the flutters that
start at around the 0:13 mark of the song in the right
channel while the cd version above has them in the left
channel...do any of the cd's in the db have the channels
correct?.....thanks john for flipping them for me.....

she and MJJ Music felt it best to add Centipede on the end of Yours Faithfully to remind everyone of where Rebbie had been. it had been a full 10 years since her last album R U Tuff Enuff in 1988.
