I know the 45 version is shorter than the album version, but I no longer have the 45 and wanted to perform an edit on the album version. Does anyone know how the single differs from the album?

For those who are interested in knowing the edits on this 45, they are as follows:

*The instrumental section after Chorus 1 is half as long.
*The longer instrumental section after Chorus 2 has two edits.
*The first chorus after the bridge is edited out, but not starting at the first line, it's at the start of the second line ("between the bright nights") and it comes back in at "between the bright nights" of the next chorus.
*The song then fades and ends at 4:06.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents on this one:

The Pop Annual states a run time of 3:46, which is wrong. Our commercial copy states a run time of 5:29, but actually runs 4:05.

Bumping this up for Doug...

Looks like Gordon successfully recreated the 45 version, but there's not a clear timeline for some of the instrumental edits.

Thanks, John. I knew this was around here somewhere, but the "search" function turned up nothing. Not sure why.

Gordon, can you pinpoint the times more specifically (or if you have the file handy forward me a copy)?
