i have both a white copy issued as big tree 102 and a
yellow with orange copy issued as big tree 102 and
they both run 2:13....the yellow/orange copy has 'Z3KM-
2994-1A' etched in the run out groove....the white copy has
'Z3KM-2994-1B' in the run out groove.......which version
was issued commercially and which was the promo.....neither

Ed, they're both stock copies. The plain white labels were the first ones out of the chute.

So this is making its CD debut on Hard To Find 45s On CD, Vol. 19: More 70s Essentials but in stereo apparently. Do we know if the mono 45 is a dedicated mix or just a fold-down of the lp version?

We do indeed! The mono 45 is an exact fold-down of the
stereo LP version. They put together the album first, then
chose which song to release as the single. The only
difference is the 45 was slowed down. We matched the the
45 pitch for the new CD release.

Just FYI ... I had 2 reference copies of the white label
45 and they both run (2:14)...but just barely because you
have to crank it up very loud to hear it. Same thing for
the master tape.
