My promo CD single (DPRO 04020) has 4 versions, and has no listed times:
1-Radio Edit (actual time 4:14)
2-Club Vocal (actual time 7:36)
3-Bass It Dub (actual time 6:43)
4-LP Version (actual time 4:27)

Regarding "Pink Cadillac", the database has been updated with Jim's promo CD single info above. I just wanted to add that the commercial 45 runs 4:13. (Timing info is once again compliments of abagon. The printed record label time is 4:14.) Am I correct in assuming that the "Radio Edit" on Jim's DJ CD single matches the commercial 45 version?

I would assume that the LP version of "Pink Cadillac" is on the Elektra Natalie Cole Greatest Hits.
Its missing the car sfx that were on the radio mix.

On American Top 40, my local Buffalo radio station, and the video, the mix
of this was totally different from the LP version. I don't even think it was the
above mentioned "Radio Edit".... any idea what that was and where you can
find it?

The video mix sure sounds to me like the above mentioned "radio edit" (which, of course, was in actuality a 'remix/edit'); what do you cite as the differences?

I've just discovered for the first time that the album
version is a very different mix than the video mix, so
I'm also wondering if the "radio edit" is the video mix
and not simply an edit of the album version. According to
discogs, the U.S. 12" version has the club mix remixed by
C&C, and the radio edit, also remixed by C&C. However, I
have the extended club mix on CD and it is much more of a
typical C&C house mix of the time, while the video
version is a pop mix. The cassingle listing on discogs
and several other 7" single releases list production and
mix of the radio edit by C&C (they did not produce the
album version), so they may have done a radio specific
remix that was then used for the video, and I would love
to get that mix on CD if it's available, so any insight
anyone has would be much appreciated. To hear the
difference, simply watch the music video on YouTube to
compare it to the LP version.

As I referenced in my above post back in 2010, the 'radio
edit' is actually a remix & edit of the album version and
I believe is the same as the video mix.
In the '80s & '90s there were quite a few hit versions
that were labeled 'radio edit' that more accurately
should have been described as 'radio version' or even
'radio edition' would have been more accurate as far as
we're concerned.
To the record companies, the term 'radio edit' was a
catch-all tag that could mean anything from a straight
edit of the LP version, a remix (or remix/edit) of the
LP version, an early fade of the LP version, a non-segued
intro of the LP version, and later on it could mean that
cuss words were ducked (or replaced) from the LP version.
More accurately the term 'radio version' should have been
used, but 'radio edit' was just a term to effectively
designate to programmers that "this is the version we are
trying to promote because we think it's right for radio"
but other versions were often included on the promo in
case a specific programmer preferred a different version
for his/her station.

I'm listening now to "Pink Cadillac" from The A-List
(Disc 45) and just realized that it's the Single Version
with the car sound effects cut off. Does anyone remember
it being played this way on the radio? On The A-List It
sounds like there's a little bit of an overlap on the
intro from what they cut out.
