Here are instructions for creating the 45 edit from the LP version. The 45 has a printed time of 4:15 and an actual time of 4:15.
Start with the LP version; my first choice is the Tales From The Brothers Gibb box set from 1990; it's mastered by Dennis Drake and it's phenomenal-sounding. And it's all the Bee Gees you'll ever need!
Keep 0:00.0-0:05.9 of the LP version.
Edit on downbeat.
Keep 0:14.7-3:07.7 of the LP version.
Edit on snare.
Keep 3:31.2-4:34.5 of the LP version.
Put a 32-beat fade from 4:16.9-4:34.5 of the LP version; that comes out to 3:59.3-4:16.9 of the edited version.
Your edited version will run a total of 4:16.9, with edits at 0:05.9 and 3:13.6.

Until the recent WB years 1987-91 Box Set came out, all db CDs featured
the song's LP version. But three unique versions made their domestic CD
debut on this set. All three of these mixes were also included on my
promo 12" single (WB PRO-A-3753). Pat has accurately noted the
descriptions for two of them, but simply shows "remix" for a (3:50)
version. This is the exact listed time of the "Remix/Edit" version found on
my 12". Here are the full details:
This Side:
1-One (12" Club Mix) (listed time 9:02)
2-One (Dub) (listed time 7:33)
Other Side:
1-One (Remix/Edit) (listed time 3:50)
2-One (12" Dance Version) (listed time 8:43)

Ron,
Forgive me, but did you mean to say 3:22.7 instead of 3:07.7 for the
second edit?
That's what I hear when I play the 45 (on YouTube) and it would put the
edit in line with your subsequent comment that it falls at 3:13.6 of the
end result.

Probably. I didn't save any notes beyond what I typed in for this post, but I'd bet that you're correct.

As Jim (RIP) mentioned above, there is a 3:50 remix/edit
on the WB years 1987-91 box set. I'm not sure if
that is an edit of the 12" version or not, but it appears
that promo 45's had the 4:15 edit.

I don't ever recall seeing/hearing a shorter promo version
at the time the song was a hit.

The 3:50 Remix/Edit is a short version of the 12" Club Mix, which is a pretty drastic remix. To be clear, I haven't checked to see if one could re-create the official Remix/Edit version from the long Club Mix version, but they are clearly from the same remix session, and I would assume it could be done.
The other 12" Mix that Jim had mentioned, the "Dance Version", while also clearly remixed, is much tamer and more immediately recognizable as a natural extension of the LP Version.
