Millie Jackson's 1977 hit "If You're Not Back In Love By Monday" does have a shorter promo 45 edit. Although I don't own the vinyl to verify its run time, the printed time is 3:40. The database currently does not mention the existance of this promo 45.

Aaron, since this song only peaked at #43 in Billboard, I hadn't killed myself to track down a promo 45 for it (or a stock 45, for that matter.) But I am now curious as well, and I have just bumped it up way up on my want list. And unless someone else can help out in the interim, when my promo 45 for it comes in, I'll update this thread with your requested details.

Although I still have yet to track down a promo 45 for this, my commercial
45, confirmed as Spring 175, with handwritten deadwax of "SP-175-77-NP-
2856-LONG-S-CP-3" (and the "LONG" in the deadwax certainly supports the
theory of a shorter DJ 45 version out there somewhere), has a listed time of
(4:45), but an actual time of (4:48).
(PS-I have finally just acquired a promo 45 copy for this song, on-line. When
I receive it, I will provide the particulars.)

My promo 45 has arrived. It is confirmed as Spring 175. The "short version"
has deadwax of "SP-175-77-NP-2856-SHORT-CP1", with a listed time of
(3:40); but an actual time of (3:43). The "long version" has deadwax exactly
like my stock 45 report above, except it ends in "CP2", not 3. The long
version promo 45 side also has a listed time of (4:45), but an actual time of
(4:48).
