Hi,

Does anyone have the CD version of Suave's 1988 hit "My Girl"?

I own the 45 (claiming [edit]) and I want to determine if it indeed can be edited from the CD.

Thanks!

Andy

Andy:

The 45 version of Suave's "My Girl" cannot be edited from the CD due to mix differences.

my commercial 45 issued as capitol 44124 states a run time on the label as 3:54 but actually runs 3:53 and is a didfferent mix than the full length lp/album version running 5:36...this info should be added to the db...

I have a version of "My Girl" on a 1988 New Zealand compilation CD called "Power Cutz", despite the NZ 45 version being the same as the US 45 version. This version runs 3:29 and sounds like a remix. It also shows up on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUk5WPQnYak - here . Does anybody know the name of or the origins of this version?

Also, just for the record... http://www.discogs.com/Various-EMI-Hot-Shots-Juni-88/release/1528188 - this CD contains the 45 version of "My Girl" but it has a truncated intro that appears to be the result of a mastering error. The first one and a half beats are missing. Beware!
