my commercial cassingle issued as uptown/mca 54090 contains a non described version which runs 4:16 and is identical to the version from the cd
(S) (4:16) MCA/Uptown 10289 Peaceful Journey
the cassingles' sleeve states that the "original version appears on the forthcoming heavy d & the boyz album peaceful journey mca 10289"....but to me the two versions sound identical....

I picked up a promo CD single of "Now That We Found Love" on MCA CD45-1479 at a record convention this past weekend. Here is the track listing and actual run time info:
1) Club Version - 5:44
2) 7" Radio Version - 4:16
3) Instrumental - 5:20
I don't know if the 7" Radio Version is a different version than the single/album version. The promo CD does state: "Original version appears on the forthcoming Heavy D. & The Boyz album, MCA-10289, 'Peaceful Journey'". Of course it says the same thing on Ed's cassette single, which Ed reports is identical to the album version.
It's interesting that the Club Version running 5:44 was issued as Track 1. Does anybody recall hearing or playing this longer version on the radio?

Todd, I also have that promo CD, and the 7" Radio Version is the same as the version on Heavy Hitz, which I believe is also the same as the LP version. Also, I don't ever recall hearing the longer version on air. The track listing of the 12" also has the Club Version as the lead cut, so they must've just used the same track list for the promo CD rather than rearranging them.

It almost sounds like a different mix or version was originally slated to appear on Heavy D's Peaceful Journey album, but then the record label opted to just go with the so-called 7" Radio Version across the board.
Thanks, Aaron!
