Another possible 45 recreation question here. Can the LP version be edited to match the 45?

my commercial 45 of the loverboy song "when it's over" issued as columbia 02814 states the run time on the label as 3:56 and is an edit of the full length 5:05 cd/lp version....this 45 run time s/b added to the db......thanks aaron for another great edit...

It certainly can. I've never noticed a mix difference (though when it was on the radio, it did sound a little louder)
Here are the LP playing times to remove:
Remove 0:03-0:08
Remove 0:13 - 0:22 1/2 (lol)
Remove 1:06 (right after "cuz") to 1:44 (on the downbeat of the chorus)
Then after the first instance of the end refrain, at 4:22, repeat the 4:13 - 4:22 instance three times. So you have the first time, and two more repeated times. Then on the last repeat (#3), start fading at 3:44 on your edited version until about 3:56.
I have my custom edit that I made from memory, and I definitely know that it's spot on, except I fade it a little later and quicker.
