The actual 45 running time is (3:52), the listed time is "3:57" on the record label. (Atco 7211)

Thanks, abagon. This info is especially useful given that CD run times for "Cars" range from 3:48 to 3:56.

By the way, "Cars" originally came from Gary Numan's 1979 parent LP The Pleasure Principle. This album was reissued on CD in the U.S. by the Beggars Banquet record label (catalog #80010). The run time for "Cars" on this disc is 3:56 and is in stereo. Pat, I thought I'd bring this CD to your attention since it's currently not listed in the database.

Also, does anyone know the actual run time of "Cars" on The Pleasure Principle vinyl LP? If it's 3:56 like on the CD release, then the database should probably note the length difference between the 45 and LP.

Thanks for your additional info as always, Todd.

Pat: I think that the following CD title must be modified.

(S) (3:48) Priority 53705 Rock Of The 80's Volume 2 (:09 shorter than the 45 or LP)

Abagon, I have the cd in question in my hand and the cd title is exactly as stated by you in your post. Why do you think the cd title is in error?

"Cars" on the vinyl LP runs (3:56).

Sorry, Pat.
I was supposed to mention "(:09 shorter than the 45 or LP)". Because the 45 runs (3:52). I though that the comment of the CD has (:04 shorter than the 45 and :08 shorter than the LP).
