My commercial 45, which is mono, and confirmed as T-Neck 901, has a listed time of (2:49), but an actual time of (2:56). This is not good news, as all of the many current database CDs that contain this song have runtimes ranging from (2:40) to (2:49), while my 45 runs :07 longer than the longest of these database CDs.

Note: I have revised my original post because I believe my info was in error before. My apologies to whomever may have read it earlier.
It runs (2:44) on the original "It's Our Thing" LP, and sounds like a different mix, but I just played all versions of it, and now think there may be some Dolby issues going on with the CD versions. The original T-neck 45 contains this slightly longer mix, and runs (2:55), which I timed on my turntable.
The vinyl reissue LP has a mix that seems to be a slight alternate mix of the version you hear on CD today, but, again, sounds like the Dolby decoding is correct, and runs (2:49). Again, it sounds like a Dolby issue because the CD versions aren't as clean and dynamic as the 45 and orignal LP. This difference is what lead me to believe it was a different mix.
I have the new BGO two-fer CD of the "It's Our Thing/Go All The Way" albums on order and should be here in a month. I'll try to remember to report back with what it has.Note: I have revised my original post because I believe my info was in error before. My apologies to whomever may have read it earlier.

Yes, it appears that all versions of "It's Your Thing" on CD that I've heard have some undecoded Dolby issues.
Please let me know if the forthcoming two-fer you mentioned sounds better!!

Did you ever figure out if the Dolby issue was also on that two-fer CD as well?

I gave up on that angle. I got the Iconoclassic CD reissue
of the album and it sounds a bit more like all the other
CDS. I just made a digital dub of the original vinyl LP
and moved on.

Be advised too that some of the master tapes for this album
are damaged. So, on at least one track it is actually a
needledrop which is that sound you hear. The mono 45 of
this track is the version which rules. Especially for that
piledriver bass line.

Has this been found on any CD?

Not yet that I am aware of. It is Stereo on the CD versions
I have heard.

Just discovered a digital version of the album It's Our
Thing with a mono version of It's Your Thing.
It runs 2:54 and fades about 2 seconds earlier than my 45.
It's labeled as "Mono Alternate Fade." Could this be the
mono 45 mix?

Hey John,
I grabbed that off I-tunes. It is indeed the mono 45
mix. In fact, it is mastered from a 45 but they did a
very good job with it.
There is some noise over the intro and fade which matches
the surface noise on my copy of the 45 perfectly. But,
the noise is low enough and not distracting. To their
credit they left the noise alone and did not ruin it with
noise reduction.
They faded it about 2 seconds early due to the noise at
the tail end of the song, the audio is very faint there
so I can understand their choice to fade it off.
So, all things considered this is good source for this
mono mix, which is drier than the stereo LP version. and
that awesome funky bass guitar cuts thru with more punch
than the stereo mix does.
