My promo 45 has a "Short Version" on one side of it, with a listed time of (3:34), an actual time of (3:37), and appears to be just about identical to Abagon's commercial 45. However, the other side of my promo 45, the "Long Version", has a listed time of (4:15), but an actual time of (4:10). Current database CDs which state "LP length" for this song range in time from (4:01) to (4:07). The last few seconds of my (4:10) promo 45 are barely audible, but they are definitely there. And just for the record, this 45 side simply includes a few extra seconds of the song's instrumental ending than the "LP length" sources do.

The actual LP running time is (4:10) as well as Jim's promo 45 report. All the "LP length" CDs on the database are shorter than the vinyl LP. (title "Partners In Crime" - Infinity INF 9020. The listed time 4:15 on the LP record label.)

Was this single on Infinity? I recall some pressings of Escape (the Pina Colada Song) and Him were on MCA Records. This LP and the hit singles were released right when Infinity Records folded.

I've never seen a copy of "Him" on Infinity.

Infinity was merged into MCA as "Escape" was heading up the charts, I thought it was odd that a label went defunct with a number one record on the chart. So I doubt that "Him" was ever issued on Infinity.

Exactly what I thought, wild seeing a label with a #1 hit as it folded. Like some late ABC Records hits which hit peak on the charts after MCA took over.
