Regarding "Both Sides of the Story", I thought I'd point out that the song fades out sooner on the Phil Collins Hits CD (Atlantic 83139) compared to the single/album length. On all sources, the song begins to fade around the 5:55 mark, but on the Hits disc the volume is gradually potted down more rapidly from 6:24-6:35. If you're used to hearing the "Both Sides of the Story" single/album length, you can definitely detect the fade difference at the end of the Hits CD.

Does anybody know how to create the single version from the album version?
There's a one track promo CD that has a running time of 5:38.

I have the "Radio Edit" on Atlantic's Year In Review 1993.
It's an early fade of the album version.
The fade starts at 5:17, on the downbeat that falls on the first syllable of the word "story".
The fade is a little over 32 beats long. If it were exactly 32 beats long, it would end on the downbeat at 5:32. The tail of the fade is a little longer than that, though, reaching full silence at 5:38.
