Pat, I have just received a King Floyd hits collection, entitled "Choice Cuts", on the Waldoxy label, #2804. This label is stated to be a division of the longtime, Jackson, MS label, Malaco. It is definitely not an import, and even provides both a street address and MS phone # on it. The CD lists a date of 1994 on it, so it appears to have been around for a while. It features the original recordings, from a tape source, of both of his db hits, "Groove Me" ((S), (2:58)) and "Baby Let Me Kiss You" ((S), (2:48)). FYI, it also includes his other Hot 100 entry as well, "Woman Don't Go Astray".

regarding the longer running length in stereo of this track, is that the
original LP length, or a longer length in the CD area? Also, how much faster
is the 45 from the lone CD appearance of this in mono?

The 45 single is mono and faded early. Waldoxy is a division of Malaco, Inc. Original single was on Chimneyville, and had a division of Malaco, Inc. The second national pressing was on Chimneyville and distributed by Atco. I have the promo issue of the Malaco local issue single variant and a stock copy of the Atco distributed single. 45 timing on "Groove Me" is listed at 3:04 and is actually 2:55.
