I don't have this 45, but Robert has reported to me that his 45 has an actual time of (2:30). All current database CDs that include "Part 1" have a run time of either (3:03) or (3:04). Anyone else who is able to provide us with any listed/actual 45 time confirmation, or other additional details for this song would be very much appreciated.

I just received the "Singles, Vol. 6" set today. (I have just "guest reviewed" this 2-CD set for Pat, and sent him an e-mail with any/all new "relevent to the database" details.) This song is included. It is mono, and runs (3:04), similar to the other database CDs for "Part 1". I have found these James Brown singles sets to be almost 100% dead-on, version-wise, so far. Robert, are you sure about that (2:30) actual run time you reported earlier to me for this 45? Thanks.

Well once again I screwed up, guys. Your time is correct. The 2:30 time was actually for the prior entry in my DB ("I Don't Mind") which I erroneously wrote down in my haste to help JimCT. Sorry. From now on I will take the extra time to check and double check before I send my times to Jim. Is it possible to create a stereo 45 from the LP versions?

To attempt to answer my own question, I've been fiddling around with the Startime (5:59 stereo remix of Pt 1&2) trying to create a 45 edit, and to my naked little ear, it sounds like the 45 matches up identically right up til the last note on the fadeout, where on the 45, it's a lower note than on the same spot on the remix. And no matter how I tried, that last faint note eluded me.
However, considering the run of inaccuracy I've been on lately, I would need someone - anyone - to check this for me. Perhaps there are other differences that I missed, but I'm not hearing any - except for the last, faint note. Damn note...

Robert, please don't worry too much about those two mis-timings. (Only another 50 mistakes, and you'll catch up to the number of goofs I must've made here on the Board! :) ) Don't forget, you were dead-on correct in identifying that recent Victor Lundberg 45/LP difference. And as far as I can tell, all of the at least 25 other song timings you'd provided to me by e-mail appear to "check out". It was just those two specific timings that jumped out at me, vs. those in the database. I sincerely thank you for your help so far, Robert. I still consider you to be a very valuable resource, and look forward to solving more "song mysteries" here on the Board!
