My commercial 45, which is stereo and confirmed as Metromedia 217, has a listed time of (2:20) and an actual time of (2:21). However, the last :04-:05 seconds of music are barely audible on my stock 45 (and FYI, it is mastered the exact same way on both the mono & stereo sides of my promo 45.) FYI, all five of the current database CDs that include this song run either (2:16) or (2:17), so it appears that all the CD masterers simply dumped out of the "final, faint 1-to-2%-of-full-volume seconds" that are found on the tail end of all my 45s.

Just received a stock 45 of this (deadwax is ZTS 140301). Run time is 2:21.

The barely audible audio, which Jim has indicated occurs at the very end of the song, sounds like it has some sort of noise or hiss reduction applied to it over the barely audible part on the vinyl 45. Anyone ever hear of this being done before?

I just listened to a CD copy and I hear the same type of 'noise reduction' over that low audio. The CD copy at 2:17 actually fades in the middle of the barely audible audio.
