Though your database isn't up right now, I recall you distinguished the two versions of this song as "version", whereas I thought they differed by "length". I did feel the longer version on the self-titled One Way CD was mastered so bright (compared to the 45 recording on "Forever Pop Vol. 1") that the guitars may have seemed louder on the One Way CD -- but do you feel there is a different mix for the single version -- or anything that prevents these two as being distinguished by "length?" Maybe I missed other mix elements??

Yes I agree with you on LP and 45 length not version. You mention that you found this song on a "One Way" cd? I was not aware that "One Way" ever issued this cd so could you pass along the catalog number so I can search for a copy?

Sorry, I meant Wounded Bird. I mix up those labels as they are both small reissue labels that specialize in '70s and '80s reissues that the big labels would never touch.

According to abagon, the actual commercial 45 run time of Randy Meisner's "Never Been in Love" is 3:39, not 3:36 as stated on the record label.

Can anyone indicate timewise when the fade begins to end at 3:39 for the 45 length?

It starts at 3:28.

Gordon, thanks for the details! I always want to create a proper 45 length.
