The mono version of the Everly Brothers "Til I Kissed You" on the following CD:
LaserLight 12420 Bye Bye Love
runs about 3% slower than the stereo version on the other CDs that I checked. This is only CD I have with the mono version, but from a review of the database it appears that run times for mono appearances are several seconds longer than the stereo appearances.
Does anyone know which speed/run time is correct for the 45?

It's hard to give a definitive answer, since Cadence used different pressing plants, but my commercial 45 (Cadence 1369) runs an actual 2:21.5.
I compared it to the stereo track on the Bear Family Classic Everly Brothers boxed set, which runs 2:22. The Cadence 45 runs at a faster speed, and has an extra "I kissed ya" at the tail end of its fade that was dumped on the CD fade (which ends with the preceding "uh, huh.")
So the more-romantic 45 gets in an extra smooch. :)

I remember reading on another board a long time ago that there was confusion with this song and their lyrics, as it sounded like they were singing "you've got a whale about ya"....listening to my promotional 45, they definitely sing "way".
My promotional copy also runs 2:21.5 and is pitched faster than cd versions running 2:22 and have the extra "i kissed ya" as well. My promo 45 was pressed by RCA, matrix number K7 OW8023--1G A1, pressed using the Richmond plant.
------------- Live in stereo.

Is the correct 45 version (faster pitch with extra verse) available on CD?

My copy runs 2:21.5. Mine is a Columbia made copy at the Santa Maria, CA plant and is vinyl.
