Have seen a CD on Amazon called Precious And Few And Other Favorites. Even though the song didn't fare well on the charts, was hoping finally being able to find "Life And Breath" on CD. What a disappointment! Sounds like it came from vinyl with a fair amount of NR. Even "Precious And Few" sounds bad.

Has "Life And Breath" ever appeared on CD? Was the 45 mono?
The MP3 from the aforementioned CD is definitely mono.

I believe the 45 was mono.

Precious and Few is one of the original masters that K-Tel owns, I assume they also own the Climax album and "Life and Breath". You'd think they would have put out a CD release or Collectables would have licensed a Climax CD that contained Life and Breath. I haven't seen one. The K-Tel website says they will soon be distributing its library on I Tunes, so maybe then they'll at least have it as a download.

The Rocky Road promo 45 of Life and Breath is mono/stereo....true stereo.

Like John did, I also recently picked up a "gray-area" disc by this band, albeit a different one. Titled "The Best Of Climax Featuring Sonny Geraci: Precious & Few" (Carousel CCD-550), it clips off the first milli-second from "Life And Breath", and sounds like it was probably dubbed from a very clean LP, so I'm still looking for a pristine, from-tape digital source for that song. I took a chance on the disc, however, because a couple of other personally-desired band tracks were also included on this CD. One was their last "Bubbling Under" tune, under their old band name, shown as by "The Outsiders Featuring Sonny Geraci", 1970's "Changes" (on Bell/Carousel), as well as it also featuring Climax's pre-Righteous Brothers, Top-10-on-KPOI-Honolulu-in-June-'73 version of the classic "Rock And Roll Heaven". All in all, I'm glad I went for the disc.
