According to the database, there are two versions of Annette's "O Dio Mio": the English version and the Italian version. Does anyone know which version appears on the commercial 45? And did both versions receive radio airplay?

The U.S. commercial 45 (Vista 354) is the English version.
For many years I only had this song on the Collectables 45 which is (apparently in error) the Italian version. It wasn't until I got my hands on an original commercial 45 that I realized it was the English version.

When the song was a current, it was always the English version I heard (on WDGY/Minneapolis.) It wasn't until I became an XM subscriber that I heard it in Italian.

Thanks, Paul and Yah Shure. I'm thinking it might be more helpful for Pat's subscribers if the database were to clarify that the English version of "O Dio Mio" is also the 45 version.

Just to confirm what has already been established here, I have just acquired a
1960, Vista 354 promo copy of "O Dio Mio." (Deadwax: a handwritten "F-
354A-1", followed by a machine-stamped "B".) Listed time (2:48); actual time
(2:47). And, as was almost always the case then, the promo copy's flip
included the same song that was found on the stock 45's flip, "It Took
Dreams." Since there was no "English v/Italian v promo 45 option available to
U.S. radio, it makes total sense that those who remember hearing this song
as a current only recall hearing the English version.
