I have just updated the entries for "I Wish" by R. Kelly and seem to draw a blank when it comes to explaining the (4:08) entry as found on Epic 85663 titled "Now 6". I have been searching for a (4:08) dj edit of this song unsuccessfully for a long time and come up blank. So the question is, does anyone have this dj edit or should I call it a previously unreleased version?

Pat, there IS a (4:08) dj edit of "I Wish," and I have the actual CD sent from Jive to radio. The one I have is just a CD-R with a sticker label, so I don't know if Jive ever had it factory pressed. This version also showed up on my Promo Only series.

Finally came across my promo CD-R with the short edit of "I Wish." On the front insert, the track list is:

1. Rhythm Top 40 Edit (REVISED) (listed & actual 4:10)

The CD-R itself is manufactured by HHB (a popular brand of CD-Rs at the time). The front insert says "Battery Studios NYC" and "Generated from EQ'd Masters." The disc simply has a small sticker with the artist, title, track and time. I still do not know if this shorter edit was ever issued on an official Jive promo CD, nor do I know if there was a "non-revised" top 40 edit.

The only commercial single formats in which this song was released in the U.S. was as a 7-inch and 12-inch single. The 7-inch single runs (5:33) and is censored.
