When Deee-Lite's "Groove Is In The Heart" was released, the only version I ever remember hearing on the air was the "Peanut Butter Radio Mix," which was essentially a no-rap, no-talk mix. Here are the tracks on the promo CD:

PRCD 8214-2
1. Peanut Butter Radio Mix
2. LP Version
3. Meeting Of The Minds Mix

My commercial CD maxi single (9 66609-2) has the following tracks:
1. LP Version (3:51 listed; 3:52 actual)
2. Peanut Butter Radio Mix (3:29 listed; 3:30 actual)
3. Meeting Of The Minds Mix (5:10 listed; 5:11 actual)
4. Jelly Jam Beats
(tracks 5-7 are various mixes of "What Is Love?")

In the database, there are a couple CDs that have a 3:46 run time with no explanation. My best guess is that the last bit of talking (Bootsy Collins saying "ya'll are crazy...") have been cut off. It might be worth noting next to those CDs that they are missing the last few seconds, if that is indeed the case. Another CD, World Of Dance, is listed with a "remix" comment. It might be helpful to label this more specifically, since it was a mix included on both the promo and commercial CD single.

Also, was there a US vinyl 45 for this song, and if so, what version was on it? I assume the cassingle had the LP version.

aaron....you are correct, sir.....

my commercial cassingle issued as elktra 64934 contains 2 tracks as listed below

1-groove is in the heart (listed 3:52; actual 3:52)
2-what is love (holographic goatee mix)

although it doesn't explicitly state lp version, it is the full length cd/lp version.
