Another one for the vinyl collectors.
While listening to the radio today I heard a version of "Country Road" that sounded a little different from the one I'm accustomed to. I E-mailed the DJ to find out where he got it (he had announced that it was the "single mix"), and he responded that it was a dub that someone had sent him that he thought came off of a recently released Best Of package.
Looking at Pat's database, James Taylor's 2003 Best Of collection does have a version of "Country Road" that's about 7-8 seconds longer than the Sweet Baby James/1976 Greatest Hits version (I didn't time the song out on the radio to see if it matched). So for those who have the song on vinyl--does the Best Of version match the 45, or does the other version? Or were there two 45 versions?
Thanks.

the one you're likely accustomed to is the common LP version. the 45 version is a different recording. It runs 3:28. A friend of mine has the Best Of CD and it is the 45 version. Pat, another database update for you!
