My fave Black Box single. RCA U.S. did their own re-edits (instead of Black Box). It's frustrating, considering that there is a single version, aka 7" Mix. It features a very different intro. and outro. I have no idea which mix U.S. radio stations played, but the 7" Mix is definitely known to U.S. audiences, as it's featured on the music video, which received heavy airplay on MTV (maybe VH1?).   The are two U.S. promo CD maxi of "I Don't Know Anybody Else", only one contains the edit. There was also a commercial CD Maxi, but it does not include the Edit nor the 7" Mix.

U.S. Promo CD Maxi No. 1 - deConstruction / RCA 2738-2-RDJ
1. I Don't Know Anybody Else [Edit] 4:00
2. I Don't Know Anybody Else [LP Version] 4:34
3. I Don't Know Anybody Else [Club Mix] 3:39
4. I Don't Know Anybody Else [House Mix] 4:08

U.S. Promo CD Maxi No. 2 - deConstruction / RCA 2735-2-RDJ
1. I Don't Know Anybody Else [Funky Mix] 4:08
2. I Don't Know Anybody Else [Soul Mix] 3:49
3. I Don't Know Anybody Else [Straight Mix] 4:00
4. I Don't Know Anybody Else [Lelewel Mix] 3:39
5. I Don't Know Anybody Else [LP Version] 4:34

U.S. CD Maxi Single deConstruction / RCA 756-2-RS
1. I Don't Know Anybody Else [We Got Salsoul Mix] 5:40
2. I Don't Know Anybody Else [DJ Lelewel Mix] 6:47
3. I Don't Know Anybody Else [Acapella] 3:40
4. I Don't Know Anybody Else [Hurley's House Mix] 7:00
5. I Don't Know Anybody Else [Hurley's House Dub] 5:08
6. I Don't Know Anybody Else [Deephouse Instrumental] 4:30

For reasons only known to then, Black Box's U.S. label hired Tuta Aquino and Joe Hecht (of Prime Cuts) to edit down all of the available mixes. They also hired Steve "Silk" Hurley to provide then-new U.S. mixes. Their edits (Tuta's and Joe's) edits are tracks are tracks 1, 3 and 4 (first promo) and tracks 1, 2, 3, and 4. The Straight Mix and Edit are the same mix, they are and edit of the LP Version and is ghastly - the mix is severely chopped off and truncated, especially Martha's wailing at the beginning. Why the label didn't used the "real" single version (7"), I will never understand. The 'Funky Mix' is an edit of the Silk remix; the 'Soul Mix' is an edit of the 'We Got Salsoul Mix'. 'Lelewel Mix, 'House Mix', and 'Club Mix' are edits of their longer counterparts.

The U.K. CD Maxi included an additional mix, the "Free Sample Mix". The proper extended mix of the single version (named '7" ') is the "Sample Free Mix", available on CD format here:

There is a seven minute version of this song on the Buddha CD Big Twelve Inches - Groovin' You. That listing is currently not found in the online database.

That's the U.S. commercial CD maxi single. Incidentally, track 4, the 'Hurley's House Mix' is the mix featured on "Big 12 Inches (Groovin' You)".
