On the Whenever You Need Somebody CD, "It Would Take A Strong Strong Man" starts with three drum hits, followed by a short pause, then another three drum hits.

No problem.

I discovered that on the 50-CD radio library The A-List (1994), the first two drum hits are cut off. The song starts with a single drum hit, then the short pause, then another three drum hits. The rest of the song is the same as on Whenever You Need Somebody.

So...

(1) Is the 45 the same as the album version?

(2) If so, does the 45 have the three drum hits intact to start the song?

(3) Does the version on the TM Century library have the three drum hits intact to start the song? (I suspect that The A-List borrowed liberally from the TM Century discs...)

I have compared the album version with the U.S. commercial 45 (RCA 8663-7-R)
For the above questions by crapfromthepast:
(1)&(2) Yes. But I don't know about the question(3.)

All current db CDs include the same version of this song.

Here are the particulars of my promo 12" single (RCA 8696-1 RDAB):

Side A:
1-Matt's Jazzy Guitar Mix (listed 7:46)

Side B:
1-Instrumental (listed 3:39)
2-(non-described version) (listed 3:39)
3-(a different song, "You Move Me")

FYI, my stock 12" single for this song (RCA 8696-1-RD-A) includes the
exact same contents as my promo 12" single does.
