Natasha Bedingfield's song "Love Like This" was issued in two different versions. One version is without Sean Kingston. Do all of the database CDs have the version with Sean?

Correct, all database entries include Sean Kingston except the remix listing.

Thanks, Pat. It might be worth mentioning that a non-Sean version
exists, if you haven't already noted it.

Incidentally, the version without kingston has a bridge in its place.

Where have you heard a version without Sean Kingston?

Epic first serviced the song (to my small
station, anyway) digitally, with the non-
Kingston version. Before long, we got the
other mix at least via Promo Only, which
replaced the bridge with the Kingston
verse.

As I remember it, she had released a second album in the UK with "Love Like This" (no Sean Kingston). Since her debut album was still selling and producing hits here in the US, the record company didn't release the follow up album at the same time it came out in the UK. When it came time for "Love Like This" and her new album to be released here, she had Sean Kingston add the extra vocals.

Like Eric, my station (Radio Disney) also had the non-Kingston version first. TM issued this version as well. For some reason, we never switched to the version with Kingston, although somehow it was erraneously labled on our music logs as "Natasha Bedingfield feat. Sean Kingston."

Interesting - I'd wondered about that.

In our case, we'd also added the original version of the single, so when the newer version came in, I made a custom edit, adding the Sean Kingston verse to the original cut.

That's also interesting, Eric. Why the custom edit?

Sean Kingston was pretty hot, and I thought his verse added something to the song. But that newer mix, in cutting the bridge, changed the fundamental structure of the song, especially since we were already playing it. So I figured we could compromise and capture the best of both worlds.
