Doesn't exist, except maybe on a TM Century Gold Disc. But I made a perfect recreation of it with the Magix Audio program I told you about. You can't tell the difference.

Does anyone recall if top 40 radio chopped off the screaming guitar
solo at the end? Someone on the Hoffman forums said that's the way
they heard it on the air back in '84.

Funny you guys should mention this. Just this morning, the local oldies station played "Let's Go Crazy" and the ending guitar solo sounded exactly like the in-house version Ron described above! Very jarring to my ears.

I heard a version with the guitar solo cut off at the end back in the 80s. I
recreated my own version from memory. Right at the point all the other
instruments dropped out they attached the cold ending.

Isn't the 45 edit on the 4Ever comp?

Just heard "Let's Go Crazy" on the local oldies station this morning. Not only do they use the "chopped off guitar" ending, but the opening is different too! Once the full music kicks in, the spoken part is missing the overdub (underdub?) on the rest of the talking. Never noticed this before. Weird.

Maybe it's their own edit of the LP version?
