I'm thinking about picking up a copy of the Booty Jams various artist CD on Mars Entertainment 44001 because it contains a couple of 45 versions I don't yet have in my collection, including The Time's "Jungle Love" and (what I believe is the single version of) "Jam on It" by Newcleus, a song from 1984 that surprisingly never reached the Top 40.
According to various retail websites, the Booty Jams CD also has 12 Gauge's "Dunkie Butt (Please Please Please)" on it, but I notice this track is currently not listed in the database as appearing on this CD. I thought I'd bring that to your attention. In addition, I'm wondering if you or anyone has ever been able to determine the difference between the single and album version of "Dunkie" because I'm curious as to which one is issued on this CD.

Todd, I listened to the song sample on this CD, and this is NOT the 45 version of "Dunkie Butt." Unfortunately, I don't have my CD single or full-length cassette handy; however, I have the track listing for the CD single in my database. The lead track on the maxi-single is the "Radio Version" which is definitely not the mix on Booty Jams. (Whichever mix is on Booty Jams has a completely different vocal take and mix.)
Now, I believe that the "Radio Version" from the CD single is the same mix that is on the full-length 12 Gauge cassette that I have. What's interesting is that the cd single lists "Album Version" as track 2, but this track has a completely different vocal take (perhaps this is the version on Booty Jams), and I remember thinking to myself when I first heard it that there must have been a mistake, because the album version doesn't sound like that.
So, until I unpack my CD single, my 99% confident conclusion is that the LP version is the same as the Radio Version from the CD single. The Album Version on the CD single has a different vocal take & mix, but it is not the true LP version.
