does anyone have the self titled cd by frank stallone from 1983........allmusic.com says the cd has a 3:12 running version for the song "far from over" which would match the 45 version.........the movie soundtrack version from "stayin'alive" runs 3:54 and is a slightly different mix than the 45.........maybe the self titled cd has the correct version..........anyone know.....

For anyone like me who's trying to track down a copy of Frank Stallone's ultra rare self-titled album on CD to get the 45/LP mix of "Far from Over", expect to pay a premium for it. The online retailer www.gemm.com presently has a used copy on sale for $172.99! I don't think this CD has been reissued domestically or internationally since going out of print over 20 years ago.

Allmusic.com lists a CD called Rock Rarities, Vol. 1 on Hang Loose Records. The run time listed is (3:17), and there is a song sample available to listen to. This disc may be easier to track down...I haven't looked myself.
Also, anyone willing to pay $172.99 for a Frank Stallone CD is either a relative to Frank or out of their mind!

my commercial 45 issued as rso 815023 states on the label the run time as 3:10 but actually runs 3:12, and is identical to the version on the cd below
(S) (3:12) Polydor 821237 Frank Stallone (45 version)

Recently discovered an "extended club remix" (5:21) of this song. Had the 45 but I don't remember this at all, but I just got a copy off ebay.
Anyone seen this on CD?
Here it is on youtube:

Indy - Sounds like you bought the same 12" I have: RSO 12" #815 348-1, 1983, printed 5:18, actual 5:22
I'm not proud...
For a song that hit #10 in the US, this one is pretty hard to find. Hear The Light Volume 1 may be your best bet to find the 3:55 version - it HAS to be cheaper than the full-length FS CD.

Actually, since this thread began the Frank Stallone CD has been reissued on Simba Records (2006) and has the 45 version of the song. Paid the regular 12 bucks for it so it's no longer rare.
Doubtful that the club version has ever made it to CD.

And after all these years...because the song was in a
thread on BSN...I pulled my 12" single and I can tell
you the 45 (and Frank Stallone LP version) is an edit of
the 12" single mix.
The mix on the "Stayin' Alive" soundtrack LP (3:53) is
quite a different mix.

It's also on Qobuz now, you dont even have to download the entire album!
