I have two more LP versions that I'd like to know if it's possible to extract the 45 (and if so, how), or if the differences don't just involve editing.
1. Carolina In The Pines--Michael Murphey (1975)
LP-(3:59), 45-(3:06)
2. I've Got Love On My Mind--Natalie Cole (1977)
I realize this is available on one CD, but if I can create the 45 that would be just as good.
Thanks!

This brings up an interesting point. In the '80s, Murphey changed his name to Michael Martin Murphey and re-recorded this song for Liberty Records and had a big country hit with it. The versions on CD of the '80s hit version are also approx 4 minutes. So - does anyone know if a 3 minute single edit was done for THAT version, or did they just leave it at full length for the '80s single (when singles could be longer)?

the 1985 re-recorded version of Carolina In The Pines has a listed time of 4:08 on the 45...

"Carolina In The Pines" is a track listed on one of the timelife discs (Romancing the 70s). Does anyone know if that is the LP version from the mid 70s, the re-recorded version from the mid 80s or by some chance the original hit 45 version that has never been on a domestic CD?

With "Carolina In The Pines", I ended up doing a 45 dub.
