TM issued a "Radio Edit" (3:41) of "Far Away" by Nickelback, which is a silly edit, if you ask me. It cuts the song down by 17 seconds, but the strange thing is the out-of-sequence edit for the first chorus. They dropped in the second chorus for the line "if I don't see you anymore," and then make an abrupt edit in the middle of the strings that follow. There is really no rhyme or reason for this, because the time is only cut down by a couple seconds at this part, but it makes the sound sound choppy.
The edit that takes out a majority of the 17 seconds is toward the end at 3:18 of the album version.

Bumping this back up to ask if anyone actually owns a US promo CD single with the Radio Edit. I noticed that TM's database contains some radio edits that appear to have only been issued on UK promo CD singles. Since they have a product specifically targeted at European radio stations, I wonder if some of those UK edits accidentally spill over to the US discs.
For instance, they issued the "Radio Edit" of "Home" by Daughtry, but I've only been able to find that on a UK disc, too.

Is there any description of the version contained on your dj cd single? The reason I ask is that the LP version runs (3:57) so there is not much timning difference between your cd single and the LP versaion.

Sorry, Pat there is no description such as "Radio Edit", etc. Just the time listed next to the title. One cut on this CD.
