my commercial 45 for the herb alpert featuring the tijuana brass song "the lonely bull (el solo torro)" issued as a&m 703 states the run time as 2:15 but actually runs 2:14 is mono and sounds identical to the version from the "classics" cd, except for the mono/stereo differences.....the db states the lp mix is different....can someone point out where those differences might be?....the vinyl 45 and cd version has the live crowd noises dubbed in as well...

Ed,

Please remember that the version on 'Classics' is the "stereo LP" version which is manufactured from the mono 45.

See, there was no stereo mix of the hit, so Herb overdubbed another trumpet line in the right channel for the "stereo LP mix".

So in actuality there is no true stereo version of "Lonely Bull", only add-a-track rechanelled stereo.
