| Was the edit simply an early fade of the album version? Given the repetitive nature of the song it's kind of hard to tell. |

Thirteen years later...
The "Edit" is indeed an early fade of the "Album Version", faded from 4:25 to 4:33, plus or minus a second. Both the "Edit" and the "Album Version" on the promo CD single include the 8-second coin-sound intro. Interestingly, both Top Hits USA (on T0330 and RH037) and TM Century (track no. 00015333) include the Edit, but delete the 8-second coin-sound intro.
