It appears that the complete Cash Box Charts archive site has disappeared. That's too bad, as it really was a one of a kind resource.

I have to admit, it was a very useful resource. Alaska Jim's site still has many other chart archive links, though. I enjoyed the Cash Box archives so much better than the Rock on the Net archives for 80s charts, although for 70s or earlier charts it was invaluable. Oh well, there's still the Billboard Magazine archives on Google Books.

The Cash Box Magazine website appears to be down. Randy's old site has been gone for years... it was all moved to www.cashboxmagazine.com several years ago. It's possible Cash Box shut its doors, but they may just be having website problems.

Looks like it's limping it's way back into service. Not all pages work right yet but this one does and you can
navigate to many more from here:

That's great. I took a quick look at the home page. Did Cashbox have AC
charts? I forget. And if so, are they archived elsewhere? Either peaks (ala Joel
Whitburn data) or the actual weekly charts?

Cash Box did not publish an AC chart.

Original, issues of Cash Box Magazine 1942 - 1996 can be viewed
at:

www.worldradiohistory.com

The site has dozens more music & radio industry publications in
their archive including Billboard, Radio & Records, Record World,
Gavin Report & many more. An amazing addicting time capsule of
radio & music history.

That does sound like an addicting time capsule. And I'm ready to get addicted
to this!

And not just the USA record charts, but also from the UK. Music paper/chart mags such as NME, Record Mirror, Melody Maker, Disc, Record Retailer/Music Week. 24 different UK music mags, great googly moogly !! Including The Beatles own monthly magazine "The Beatles Book".

That's great. Does anyone know if there's a website for the Australian charts
(or peaks) and the Dutch ones? I ask because there were books for these
charts published back in the '90s (or late '80s), long out of print, and I'd be
curious to see the peaks in these countries (in fact, other countries as well).

I love this site. I've been reading issues of Billboard
every night for the past year and a half. I've worked my
way from January 1975 to August 1977 so far! It's so cool
to read all the stories and album and single reviews.

The same company has been running this family of historical chart sites since like 2003. Some are public, some are authwalled:

https://dutchcharts.nl/ - dutchcharts.nl
https://australian-charts.com/ - australian-charts.com
https://norwegiancharts.com/ - norwegiancharts.com
https://finnishcharts.com/ - finnishcharts.com
https://spanishcharts.com/ - spanishcharts.com
https://swedishcharts.com/ - swedishcharts.com
https://irish-charts.com/ - irish-charts.com
https://www.swisscharts.com/ - swisscharts.com
https://charts.nz/ - charts.nz
https://uk-charts.com/ - uk-charts.com
https://danishcharts.dk/ - danishcharts.dk
https://germancharts.de/ - germancharts.de
...maybe more?

For UK, aside from https://officialcharts.com/ - officialcharts.com , you might be interested in the fan projects
https://www.zobbel.de/cluk/CLUK_00.HTM - Chart Log UK (CLUK) and http://www.britburn.co.uk/charts.php - Britburn .

There's another site where you can find all Cashbox
magazines. World radio history has some missing pages
(basically the Singles and Albums reviews). Name of the
website is Internet archive org.   Very easy to access and
browse through the complete magazines.

Note that the Cash Box issues at the Internet Archive site come from the same source as those on the World Radio History site, so any missing pages will be the same for both.

Sorry to disagree on this. I have a record of all 70s
missing Cashbox Singles reviews on World Radio History
archive as I have printed charts and singles and albums
reviews from that source (in addition to a few hundreds old
70s and 80s Cashbox magazines). I couldn't say what's the
source of Internet Archive Cashbox uploads but as an
example I can confirm Singles reviews that are missing on
12/2/72 (page 14) and 8/18/73 (page 15) are indeed included
on the Internet Archive scans.

Mike, thanks for the linking to all these overseas chart websites. Looks
great and there are a lot of countries whose charts I want to check out.

The Cash Box Archives are back online (I still don't know what the problem was, but I hope it won't be repeated).
