On both of the CDs listed in the database that contain the song "Starbright" by Johnny Mathis, the song runs (2:43). I timed my U.S. commercial 45 (Columbia 41583) at (2:49). (It would still be a few more years before Columbia would start printing run times on their commercial 45s.) On the one CD I have, Encore: 16 Most Requested Songs, the song runs about 3% faster than my 45.

The recent "Singles" set states the run time as the correct 2:49, yet the
comment is still there (faster). If true, then the song must fade later than the
45?

Just logged in and there is no faster comment next to
the "Singles" collection.
