Grant, that YouTube version (especially the beginning) doesn't sound like the
version I heard on any of my local Top 40 stations and/or AT40 in the summer of 1977. I do like that "busier, stringy instrumentation intro", though, so I checked a German import hits CD I'd bought way back in the late 80's, hoping this video mix might be on there. But no - it had the same "common" hit 1977 version I own elsewhere. But it did look like they were lip-syncing that performance, so, like Gordon, I'm hopeful that that video, likely released on vinyl from somewhere in the world back then, turns up somewhere on CD. |

Grant, I've had the original U.S. 45 since it was a current. And although you
seem to remember that video version to be the original U.S. 45 version, I strongly disagree - it took me all of about one second to realize that it isn't/wasn't. |

The only CD versions of this tune has the US single mix. Which is what is common. ------------- I turn up the good and turn down the bad! |

The US LP and 45 sounded more lively than the CD to my ears as did the UK LP. ------------- I turn up the good and turn down the bad! |
