Has anyone come across any 45 versions of Top 40 hits that have been released on DVD in the form of a music video, but yet these single versions have never been isued on CD? EdisonLite recently posted he has the 45 version of Air Supply's "Power of Love" (though not a Top 40 hit) on DVD because that version was used for the music video. I know Brian W. and Aaron K. have documented some 45 versions of Madonna and Michael Jackson hits that can largely only be found only on DVD or LaserDisc. I'm very interested to know if anybody has discovered any other 45 versions of Top 40 hits currently available only on DVD?

Well it's not a DVD, but I'm assuming people would also want to know about commercially released VHS tapes with single mixes/edits. A Belinda Carlisle VHS collection from the '80s is the only place to find the single MIX of "I Feel the Magic" (other than the 45). I used it for my CDR collection, and you can't tell it's from videotape -- it sounds as good as any other song that came off CD.

What video collection are you referring to? Runaway Videos?

Yes, Runaway Videos is the one that contains the single mix of "I Feel the Magic" (which is far superior to the album mix).

I checked the video again and the version as far as I can tell is identical to the one on my copy of the "Belinda" solo debut CD and "Greatest Hits" CD. Do you have an mp3 of that album mix you mention?

Ed, I was going over some of the few early solo Belinda Carlisle records I have, and I recalled your post about a single mix of "I Feel The Magic", which aroused my curiosity.
I understand only 7" vynil was produced for its single release, I don't have it nor ever listened to one.
I played the video and album version again, and still don't perceive any differences at all.
Can you please describe what they are?

Edtop40, I was referring to EdisonLite, if you scroll up you'll notice his posts regarding the song. I'll make sure not to shorten usernames to avoid confusion : )

Sure. On the 45 mix (and video):
In all the pre-choruses: The piano is brought out more.
In the 3rd chorus (the one that starts around 2:20), there is a loud piano and loud jingle bell sounds, and there is no piano or jingle bells on the album mix.

A lot of the 45 remixes of Amy Grant's Heart In Motion singles do appear on the DVD of her 1986-2004 music videos.
