It appears there are two different commercial single releases for Faith Hill's "This Kiss". At one time, I had the cassette single release and I'm nearly certain it matched the album version. Yet it appears at least some, if not all, copies the commercial CD single release (which I never owned) consists of the "radio version", which is a remix that replaces the steel guitars with electric guitars and is the version I always remember hearing played on Top 40 radio.
I have the Totally Hits various artists CD on Arista 14625 and the radio version of "This Kiss" appears on it.
Does anyone have a commercial cassette and/or CD single of "This Kiss" who can corroborate which version is on it/them and the run time info?

I have a commercial CD single (Warner 17247):
1. This Kiss (Radio Version) - listed (3:18), actual (3:15).
2. Better Days (Album Version) - listed (3:36), actual (3:28)

Thanks, Paul! Now can anyone confirm which version is on the cassette single release? (Ed?)

Interestingly, my commercial CD single (also Warner 17247) lists the lead
track as "This Kiss (Album Version)" on both the disc and the cardboard
sleeve, and definitely has the steel guitars not found in the radio version
(comparing to my copy of the song from Totally Hits). So it appears
there were definitely two different releases of the CD single, but with the
same catalog number.

This makes sense, mstgator, because I recall the song being available on cassette and CD single when it first became a hit at country radio. The pop version didn't come out until months later so it makes sense that later commercial CD single pressings featured this new mix being played at Top 40 radio. I'm not sure if the pop version ever got issued on cassette single, but hopefully someone can let us know if it was.
By the way, mstgator, do you have the run time info handy for your "This Kiss" CD single?

Listed (3:18), actual (3:16).
Incidentally, the second track is the same as on Paul's copy, "Better Days
(Album Version)".

After some digging around I found that I have both commercial cassette singles for this one. They are identical to the CD single versions.

Thanks for your help on this, everyone!
Pat, now that Paul has confirmed that both versions of "This Kiss" have also been released on cassette single (and you've since acknowledged this in the database), I thought I might suggest that CD entries containing this song could maybe have the associated comment revised to read something like:
(this is the "Radio Version", which appears on some CD single and cassette single pressings)
or
(LP version, which also appears on some CD single and cassette single pressings)
Of course, the final call is yours.
