I heard that "Good Friend" has never been on CD from master tape, so whoever has this CD -- can you confirm or deny whether this recording is from vinyl or tape?

I'd let eBay know about it, Ed. Sounds like the guy has something to hide.

I just looked at that listing, Ed. Very fishy indeed... You can't see his buyers' comments; however, you can see his feedback score. Although his overall is a 97%, he's not doing so well this month. Four out of 21 are negative, which gives him a current month score 80%. I'd avoid bidding.

That's also considering not everyone knows theyre getting a bootleg cd. I got a bootleg dvd from one seller once, they sold it as authentic, i reported them to ebay and demanded my money back. They said all they would do would be to exchange my dvd-r for another if it was defective. It wont play in my computer, so to me, it is defective. A new one wouldnt solve my problem...i got it to play on my college roommates PS2 and it was clearly copied from an old vhs tape (not even the rare legit dvd that im told exists). Oh well...if i wanted VHS quality, i had it recorded from TV already...sometimes you just get suckered in.

ebay's got a real problem with policing their site.....i joined ebay almost 10 years ago and i rarely had problem with dealing with other members........but now, forget it.......it really sucks.......too many deadbeat.....too many shifty characters.....too many problem sellers.......it's gone right down the toilet.......the worst part is when you complain to ebat they refuse to help saying any dispute is between the buyer and seller......they wash their hands of the matter and then your really screwed....

EdTop40, do you have the capability of transferring
vinyl to CD's? If so, there's a dealer on the GEMM
(www.gemm.com) website that has a still sealed copy of
the "Meatballs" soundtrack LP for sale for $7.70 plus
shipping. Next best thing to the CD which I haven't
been able to locate anywhere.
