Just thought I would let the forum members know that Sundazed has issued a compilation cd titled "Dancehall Stringbusters" that includes for the first time in the US anyway, the correct version of "Quite A Party" by the Fireballs. The song is mono (1:47)and appears on Sundazed 11146. This song was previously released by Sundazed in a rerecorded version on the Fireballs "Torquay" cd.

Yes, the correct single version is Mono and this has been available for years on CD via Ace UK on a number of discs. The Stereo version is a 1963 re-record. I saw this recent Sundazed set but I have yet to pick it up. It should be noted that the 1963 version of "Torquay" did receive Top 40 airplay as it is very different from the 1959 Mono-only original "hit".
