I have searched but surprisingly I can't find an existing thread for this song.

The database states that dj copies of the 45 run 3:24, while commercial copies run 4:04.

Is the dj copy an early fade or an edit? I only have the 4:04 version on CD so I'd like to recreate the short version. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Wish I knew the answer. I'd be interested in the specifics
on this one as well.

It's an edit. Several small ones throughout.

Hi Doug,

Do you remember where the edits are at?

John was kind enough to share his DJ 45 replication as a template (I only have stock copies of the 45.)

The following replication is based on the original (12-track) Little River Band Greatest Hits CD (Capitol CDP 7 46021 2). It needed just a very slight increase in speed to match that of the DJ 45.

There are three nip-and-tuck edits (times are approximate):

1. Delete the 8.9-second segment from 00:04.7 to 00:13.7.

2. Delete the 8.975-second segment from 1:56.39 to 2:05.365.

3. Delete the 8.948-second segment from 2:32.8 to 2:41.75.

Fade from 3:15 to 3:23.4.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in on this one. Your help is appreciated. (I've only just caught up on your responses today as I have been on vacation since my initial post).
