This one just missed the Top 40 at #46, but with a
little promotional push it could have given Jimmy Buffet
a run for his money. Can someone please confirm that
the 45 of Bertie Higgins "Just Another Day In Paradise"
is the same as the LP minus the bird and wave sounds at
the beginning?

I just happen to have vinyl dubs from both the 45 and the LP. The only difference is the bird and wave sounds, as you noted.

This is my favorite Bertie song. But I'm not clear. Just so I'm clear, are you saying the 1st 13 seconds are cut from the single version and that's all? I don't think there were any bird/waves sounds lingering after the drums & instrumentation kick in, so I just want to make sure you're not saying there's also a difference in mix.

I didn't hear a mix difference. Cutting off the intro should work.
