I have pulled out my promo CDs for a few of Jodeci's top 40 hits, and I'll provide some info that can be added to the database.

"Cry For You" (MCA/Uptown) UPT5P-2797
Lead track is "Extended Version" running (5:01), although the label says (4:58).
Track 2 is "Radio Version" and runs (4:28), although the label says (4:27).
Tracks 3 & 4 are the "Instrumental" and "Acappella" respectively.

"Lately" (MCA/Uptown) UPT5P-2777
Track 1 is "Pop Edit" (4:56)
Track 2 is "Pop Edit w/o Intro" (4:45)
Note: This is the live version from Unplugged.

"Feenin'" (MCA/Uptown) UPT5P-2935
Lead track is "Radio Version" running an actual (4:15), although the label says (4:10).
Tracks 2 & 3 are remixes running (5:10) and (6:30) respectively. The label incorrectly states Track 2 run time as (4:59).
Tracks 4 & 5 are the instrumental & acappella.

"Freek'n You" (MCA/Uptown) UPT5P-3343
Lead track is "Radio Edit" running an actual (4:19), although the label says (4:20).
Track 2 is "Part 1" which actually runs (5:17), although the label says (5:15).
Track 3 is a remix, while tracks 4 & 5 are an instrumental and acappella respectively.

"Love U 4 Life" (MCA/Uptown) UPT5P-3524
Lead track is "Radio Edit" running an actual (4:57).
Track 2 is the "LP Version" running (4:57), although the label says (4:50). I don't detect any mix differences or censored lyrics between the Radio Edit and LP Version. Does anyone know if there is a difference? Also, the LP Version on the promo single does not have the beginning of another track on it, as the database states the true LP version segues into the next song.
Track 3 is an instrumental mix.

Aaron, with regard to "Cry For You" can I assume that the "extended version" is the LP version?

I'm not sure, because I don't own the full-length album.

ok....here's my input regarding jodeci's 8 top 40 songs

"Forever My Lady" (Uptown/MCA 54197)
the cassingle runs 4:21 and is identical to the "radio edit" version found on the german import cd single issued as MCD-17865...the cassingle DOES NOT state a version on the face or cardboard sleeve.

"Come & Talk To Me" (Uptown/MCA 54175)
the cassingle runs 4:06 and is identical to the "lp edit" version found on the usa commercial cd single issued as MCAD-54354..the cassingle DOES NOT state a version on the face or the cardboard sleeve.

"Lately" (Uptown/MCA 54652)
the cassingle runs 4:31 and is identical to the "radio" version found on the usa promo cd single issued as UPT5P-2679..the cassingle DOES NOT state a version on the face or the cardboard sleeve.

"Cry For You" (Uptown/MCA 54723)
the cassingle runs 5:02 and is identical to the version found on the full cd "diary of a mad band"..the cassingle DOES NOT state a version on the face or the cardboard sleeve..there is a "radio edit" version found on the uk import cd single issued as MCSTD-2039 that runs 3:50 but is NOT the same as the official single version described above.

"Feenin'" (Uptown/MCA 54798)
the cassingle runs 4:15 and is identical to the "radio mix" version found on the uk import cd single issued as MCSTD-1984..the cassingle DOES NOT state a version on the face or the cardboard sleeve.

"Freek 'N You" (Uptown/MCA 55023)
the cassingle runs 5:14 and is identical to the "part 1" version found as the second track on the uk import cd single issued as MCSTD-2072..the cassingle DOES NOT state a version on the face or cardboard sleeve"..there are two different cd singles which contain a "radio edit" version..the first is the same uk import cd single mentioned above but it's track one and runs 4:05..the second cd single the "radio edit" version is found, is on the commercial cd single issued as UPTDM-55041 but this one runs 4:20.

"Love U 4 Life" (Uptown/MCA 55133)
the cassingle runs 4:59 and is identical to the "radio edit" version found on the usa promo cd single issued as UPT5P-3524..the casingle states on the cardboard sleve that the version on the cassingle is the "album version"..there is a "radio mix" version running 3:48 on the uk import cd single, i believe.

"Get On Up" (MCA 55123)
the cassingle runs 3:45 and is identical to the version found on the full cd "the show, the after-party, the hotel" faded out to 3:45 since the song tracks into the next selection but it can be properly created but just doing a slow fade to 3:45 on the full cd version..the cassingle states on the cardboard sleeve that the version on the cassingle is the "album version"..the cassingle is dirty as is the full cd version..the uk import cd single issued as MCSTD-48010 contains an "album version" but it actual edits out the two curses..

i know it's exhaustive but it's what i do for fun
