Wait For You by Bonham only made it to #55 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts but was a huge hit on my local Rock 40 when it came out.

At one point I owned the promotional CD single but it has since been lost or damaged. As I remember the single version was just an edit of the LP version, but I can't find any copies of the edit on YouTube to use as a reference to edit it down.

The edit was supposed to run approximately 3:54. The LP version runs about 5:01.

Does anybody know the edit points for this, what I think was a truly underrated, rock cut?

Awesome, Aaron... thanks so much!!!

(I love this song so much, it was tempting to just go ahead and play the album version!) :-D

You should now have the 3:54 edit, Gene. I also ordered a copy of PSK 1768, so we will soon find out the contents. The track list seems to suggest that perhaps the LP's first cut, "The Disregard Of Timekeeping," may have been tagged onto the beginning. Here are the listed tracks and times:

1. Short Intro Version (listed 5:38)
2. LP Version w/Long Intro (listed 7:10)
3. No Intro Version (listed 5:01)
4. The Disregard Of Timekeeping (listed 3:21)

On the US full-length CD, the listed time for "Disregard" (track 1) is 2:09, and "Wait For You" (track 2) is 5:00. Adding those together would give us the track time for the "LP Version w/Long Intro." Interestingly, track 4 on the promo CD has a listed time of 3:21, so perhaps there is a longer version on it than what was included on the full-length album.

Received the above promo, and here's a description of the versions:

1. Matches the music video; drums start at 0:36.
2. Drums kick in at 2:08, so this likely matches the full length LP's first two tracks.
3. Drums start at 0:00 without any overlapping music.
4. This is an extended version of the first track on the full-length LP.
