I take it with a grain of salt, but Wikipedia indicates there is a 2:35 french edit of this song, which just missed the Top 40 (#41) here in the US this year. Any chance anyone knows where to find it officially?

It seems unlikely that radio in the USA would have played the album version, which has a long 20 second intro and a 15 second outro (or that French radio would have left the g-d d-mn in). I have a 2:51 radio edit that I got that cuts out the extra verses and the :35 seconds of the album version stated before and edits "g-d d-mn" out each time.

I didn't catch this one on the radio, so no idea if it is right or not. Anyone know if promo only issued anything other than a 4:11 edit?

I've heard 4 different versions of this song:
(1) album version with the long intro/outro and GD intact
(2) edit with long intro/outro and GD ducked
(3) edit that removes the long intro (starts with the White Town sample) and has ___damn in the chorus
(4) version where GD is replaced with alternate lyrics

I've heard both versions 2 & 3 on the radio, someone posted version 4 on Youtube, don't know if it's official or
not.
I haven't been able to locate a copy of version 3...it may have been a house/corporate edit (it was on 92 Moose in Maine,
a Townsquare Media-owned station, they have aired house edits in the past). Of the 4, this one seems to "work" the best.

Not sure what Promo Only released, neither of the T-40 stations I work with subscribe.

Promo Only has the long intro and outro intact and ducks
out the GD. Runs 4:11 as you mentioned.

This seems like #3 just with the edited g_d d-mn throughout. It has the White Town intro for 6-8 seconds at the beginning and doesn't have that long stretch like the LP version does but ends around 3:55 on the LP version goes into the :15 seconds of instrumental. I have no reason to believe the 2:51 I have is not the proper radio edit. Unlike 15 years ago, no CD promo exists to check!
