For what it's worth, I ripped my promo 45 of "Sendin' All My Love" by The Jets, and can confidently report that it's just a very slightly early fade of the album version. The album version (on Magic, MCAD-42085) runs 3:48.3, and the promo 45 runs 3:46.8, a difference of 1½ second. Speed/pitch is the same.

It looks like there might be 2 different promos for this
song-there is also one (S45 17684) that lists the same
track on both sides with a run time of 3:58. It has no
credits indicating it is a remix but does have the
"Original version available..." blurb at the top indicating
that it might be one. The version on "The Best of" is 4:33,
so I don't know where that came from.

I am curious if the 3:58 promo is an edit of the Justin
Strauss "Summer Splash" Mix. The 4:33 version on "The Best
Of" is an edit of that mix. I wonder if it was re-edited
for that cd. Does anyone have the 3:58 promo 45 to verify?

Aaron sent me a dub of the 3:58 version and it is an edit
of the 12" Justin Strauss version. The 4:33 version that
is on "Best Of cd doesn't seem to exist outside of that
collection (from what I've researched) It is similar to the
Justin Strauss mix but not identical.

Do you have a CD source for the 12" Strauss remix that can be edited, or would the vinyl need to be cleaned up?

I have the justin Strauss mix from this cd

version or the Shep Pettibone edit on that cd too! (I think

I'm contacting one of the 4 people who own the Japanese
cd single on Discogs. I don't think that it is this edit
since I don't see any indication in the pictures that it
is the JS remix (Its not even called the Summer Splash
Mix on fhe cover!). As we all know just because someone
puts something on Discogs, that doesnt mean its right.

I think you are right. The track duration on that Japanese
single matches the album version or regular promo 45
version that just fades the lp version slightly. let us
know if anyone on discogs gets back to you.

"Sendin' All My Love" on the MCA promo compilation is the album version. "The Rumour" is the Remix Edit also found on the US promo CD single. Most of these sound like the same version on the US commercial 7" singles, except "You Came" is the album version.

The person who originally put the Japanese CD single on Discogs started by copying data from a 12". They apparently just forgot to fix the title when they were editing the tracklist. I have taken care of the problem just now. There's no reason to believe it contains the remix.
