My U.S. commercial 45 of "Love Me Tender" by Richard Chamberlain (MGM 13097) states the run time as (2:25), but I timed it at (2:18).

i found the proper mono 45 version of the richard
chamberlain song 'love me tender' which, according to pat,
is not available on a usa issued cd, on the 3 cd import set
titled 'lovesick blues: gems from the mgm
vaults'.....issued as one day music day3cd024...i will
check to see if there are any other tough gets on this
disc...be back later.....the song runs 2:21 on this cd, so
you'll need to pitch it up a bit to run 2:18 to match the
vinyl 45....

Ed, the 3-CD import you cite you list above is one of *many* such public-
domain-for-the-rest-of-the-world comps, issued mainly duriing the past
year or so. It's been practically a "deluge", in fact. Virtually every
US label has had one of these PD, import comps pop up. And while it is
great to see these CDs issued, with some CD debuts included (and keep
letting us know, Ed, as you find them out, for any remaining not-on-CD
stragglers), I have heard that the sound quality on these comps vary
widely. Multiple BSN reports state that vinyl dubs are fairly common.

Just FYI, in my recent post about the upcoming "Complete 60's" 3-CD set,
available through Eric Records, I specifically mentioned that the "Love Me
Tender" track is included. I have already heard a preview on-line, and the
quality of both this and all other tracks on it that I sampled, are
consistently excellent.
