Just picked up the new Whitney Houston cd titled "I Wish You Love: More From The Bodyguard" and found an interesting notation on the cd jacket for the song "Run To You" which states "film version". I am not aware that there ever was any other version such as a 45 version so does anyone have a different version?

As far as I know there was only one version of "Run To You" on all singles, albums and compilations prior to this release.
But within The Bodyguard film itself, most of Whitney Houston's songs are different, earlier mixes. Some are more subtle than others, but these are the mixes completed for use in the film before they were remixed (or in some cases re-recorded) for the 1992 soundtrack record and singles. "I Wish You Love" is the first release of the earlier, alternate takes on record. (I really love the cold ending on "Queen Of The Night". I used to have to watch the movie to the very end of the credits to hear that.) Edited by Underground Dub |
