The "Sounds of the Seventies" version definitely still has the SQ quad encoding intact. Matrixed quad systems like SQ and QS can be reproduced via any two-channel audio source, regardless if it's vinyl, CD, tape, or a stereo radio broadcast.

It stands to reason that the other Time-Life clone, "Ultimate Seventies 1970" also has this same 4:50 version as is on Sounds Of The Seventies Vol. 1 1970. I just popped my copy into the PC which identified as Sounds of the Seventies instead of Ultimate Seventies. This happens a lot with Time-Life Products. Edited by AdvprosD |

<Dave> Someone please tell I-Heart Radio that St. Louis is not known as The Loo!

Yes, you're correct. Have this CD, and a Sansui QRX-7500 A Quad receiver. And 4 Dynaco A 25 loudspeakers. This track on the CD, decoded correctly in the SQ position. Thanks for your superb post on this one. |
