I've been researching this one today... Other than the length, are there any differences between the LP version and the 45? I can't
tell any difference but I wanted to ask the experts on this board in case I'm missing something.

I have the "LP Version" on "The Greatest of the Guess Who" (3746-2-R). If I start playback at 1:15.75 I seem to have a version whose
length is around 3:50.5 that matches the 45. I will note that my version ends maybe 1 second earlier than the 45 (ends on "chick"
while the 45 goes a couple of notes past that). Insignificant in my opinion.

On YouTube, I see videos as follows:
MA Ham - 3:50 or 3:51, slight pitch correction
WABCRADIO - 3:51 Promo, no pitch
Dr. Kombat - 3:52 reissue, no pitch

Of course, I am estimating the time based on the video which could be a second or so off since I am just eyeballing it.

In the DB, I see single versions ranging from 3:47-3:51 with the majority of them 3:50 or 3:51.

Thank you

I could be wrong, but I think the 45 version removes the
first 1:15 or so of the LP version.

Anything running shorter than 3:51 just fades out earlier.

For what it's worth... Years ago, Jim Abbott relayed to me that his commercial 45 copy of The Guess Who's "American Woman" has an actual run time of 3:50 (the printed label time is 3:51).

Good info, Todd. Hopefully Aaron will add the run time to
the database when he gets a chance.
